Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters, LACMA
This was the perfect exhibit to go to in October.
I was able to see it just in time with Halloween around the corner!
Guillermo del Toro’s collection was a beaut. His creativity and imagination is spread throughout this exhibit; some of it, actually quite heart-warming to me, especially all of the Frankenstein pieces because I absolutely classic movie monsters! He also had some Poe and Lovecraft lying around here and there accompanied with a few Disney pieces, one of which is the Medusa painting from the Disney’s Haunted Mansion.
If you haven’t seen this LACMA exhibit yet, it’s still running for quite some time. It’s free if you’re a member and $25 for the general public (but that $25 gets you to the main art exhibits LACMA offers, too).
